Thanks to everyone who attended my presentation yesterday at the University of Toronto. The talk featured my book “Quirky Quarks: A Cartoon Guide to the Fascinating Realm of Physics” (which I co-authored with Physicists Boris Lemmer, and Benjamin Bahr), and the turnout was awesome.
Who knew that physics professors, and students of physics, would ask so many insightful questions about the process of cartooning? Well, they did. And that made me feel that we were on the same page; speaking the same language. (more…)
It’s been a remarkable month for Quirky Quarks: A Cartoon Guide to the Fascinating Realm of Physics. At one point — and I’m not sure for how long— the book made the Top 10 Best Selling Physics books in Canada. Wow. That’s a feather in my hat that I most sincerely did not expect! (more…)
